The US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame Golf Hall of Fame is dedicated to the
recognition of extraordinary contributions and
accomplishments in the game of golf in the America. Honored members, which
include
amateur both male and female and builders of the sport will be inducted on a
regular basis beginning in 2010
The US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame Golf Hall of Fame Selection Committee is
responsible for reviewing nominations and
selecting inductees. The Selection Committee is comprised of representatives of
Golf US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame;
US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame Professional Golfers Association; the
US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame Golf Superintendents Association and other
individuals interested in preserving the history and tradition of the game in
US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame.
Once elected to the Hall of Fame, nominees will be officially inducted at a
special ceremony by the
Chairman of the US Amateur Golf Hall of Fame Inc. The Honored
Member’s portrait (or
other suitable form of recognition) will then be enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
To be considered for election to the Hall of Fame, the nominee must have made an
extraordinary
provincial, national, or international contribution to the amateur game of golf
in the US. These achievements
may be in the form of golfing accomplishments, an illustrious golf-related
career, or some other
exceptional contribution to the sport. Nominees may be players, course
designers/managers,
administrators, and others.
Nominations must have the consent of the nominee or, if the nominee is deceased,
the immediate family.
Every nomination must be seconded. Individuals may not nominate themselves.

April 30th, and
